- Wonderful website, and very much appreciated! My grandmother was born in Ballyshannon, and I had never before known much about the area her family came from. It is indeed beautiful! My Irish blood makes me wish I could visit there, although my health keeps that from being possible. Blessings to all who helped compose this informative and lovely website!

- Great website, I am trying to gather information about my Grandfathers family. All I know is that he was born in Ballyshannonn 1920 (Michael Browne) but his parents - left him with a family in Dublin when he was three and never returned for him. Is Browne a common name?? Thank you
