Enterprising Ballyshannon - Friday 11th November

Press Release ….

The ‘Backing Ballyshannon Initiative’ vision is to seek continually to improve the town as a place to live and work, to develop it as an attractive tourist destination and make it a competitive location for job-creating business and investment.

The priority objective is to promote economic activity and job creation.  The first goal under this objective is to attract entrepreneurs and encourage new and start-up companies.  To further advance this objective of attracting start-up businesses and jobs to the North West Region (including Ballyshannon and the surrounding areas), EnterpriseIreland and the County Enterprise Board have agreed to host their Regional Enterprise and Skills Roadshow in Ballyshannon on Friday 11th Novemberfrom 10am to 3pm in the Lakeside Centre.  To coincide with this event the Backing Ballyshannon Steering Group is hosting a local Enterprise Promotion Event also from 10am to 3pm to showcase Ballyshannon as an attractive and competitive location for start-up business and job creation.  To do this we have invited existing businesses with experience of doing business in the area to showcase their business at the event and to give testimonials as to why Ballyshannon is working for them.

Everything you need to know from starting in business to marketing your business will be available under one roof.  Three breakout workshops will take place at 11am – Starting in Business, 1pm Health and Safety and 2pm Marketing on a Shoestring.  This event will give us an ideal opportunity to showcase our town on a regional basis.
